Glendoveer Golf Course - West, is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Portland, Oregon. The Glendoveer golf facility has two 18-hole golf courses, they are The East Course and The West Course.
The East Course is considered the most demanding because of its length and tight, tree-lined fairways. The West Course is a little easier, with more open fairways and no water hazards coming into play. The greens on both courses are small and fast. The terrain is hilly, yet easy to walk.
The west course first opened for play in 1928. It was designed by Frank Stenzel.
The West Course plays to 5,922 yards from the back tees. The course rating is 67.5 and the slope rating is 111. The West Course plays to a par of 71.

Unfortunately, the photograph (above) is the approach to the Par-3 third hole on the East Course. It's unfortunate, because the Par-3 12th hole, on this, the West Course, which was just re-constructed within the past 10-years is without question, the most beautiful hole on either course. The west course used to be considered just okay, a course to play if the East Course was full. Not so, anymore. This is a terrific little layout, relatively short, but a very nice test. The West Course is tree-lined, much like the East Course, but has its own charm and the recent changes on the back nine have made it a very pleasant golfing experience, especially for the mid-range handicapper.

Glendoveer east is actually a better course, but the back nini on the this one is equvalent to the east course.
